Beaufort Castle

Beaufort Castle, located near Beauly in the picturesque Scottish Highlands, has a storied history dating back to the medieval era. Originally known as Castle Dounie, it was a stronghold for the powerful Clan Fraser of Lovat. The castle has witnessed numerous historical events, including the Jacobite risings, which saw the Frasers embroiled in the struggle to restore the Stuart monarchy.
