Castle Tioram

Castle Tioram, perched on the rocky tidal island of Eilean Tioram in Loch Moidart, is a testament to the rich history of the Scottish Highlands. In 1715, during the first Jacobite uprising, the castle was set ablaze by its owner to prevent it from falling into enemy hands, leaving it in ruins. While access to the interior is restricted due to safety concerns, the exterior can be admired from the shore, offering a poignant reminder of Scotland's storied past.
