Edinample Castle

Edinample Castle, located near the picturesque village of Lochearnhead in Scotland, was constructed in the late 16th century. It was commissioned by 'Black' Duncan Campbell of Glenorchy, a prominent figure of the Clan Campbell, known for his extensive building projects across the Highlands. The castle was strategically positioned to control the surrounding lands and waterways, reflecting the turbulent times of clan rivalries and territorial disputes. Its architecture is typical of the period, featuring a traditional L-plan design with a round tower, which was both a defensive feature and a status symbol.
