About Flemington Tower

Flemington Tower is a small ruined tower reduced to a storeroom near Peebles.

History of Flemington Tower

Flemington Tower stands a few miles north-west of Peebles in the Scottish Borders. This small but sturdy tower has been reduced to little more than a storeroom. The tower was probably constructed by the Douglas Earls of Morton but later held by the Clan Hay as tenants. The tower may have been burnt in the late 16th century and later passed to the Clan Veitch. The tower was reduced in size and converted into a stable and joined to other farm buildings.
