About Fulton Tower
Fulton Tower is a 16th-century L-plan tower house in the Scottish Borders.
History of Fulton Tower
Fulton Tower stands in lush rolling farmland about halfway between Jedburgh and Bonchester Bridge in the Scottish Borders. Fulton Tower was built in the 16th century as an L-plan tower house by the Clan Home but it was burnt by English forces not long after its construction. The tower was repaired and passed to the Clan Turnbull by marriage. In 1623, Fulton came to the Clan Kerr and it would remain in their possession until 1801 when it was sold to the Clan Elliot.
