Huntly Castle

Huntly Castle, originally known as Strathbogie, has a storied past that begins in the 12th century when it was first constructed as a motte-and-bailey castle. It became the stronghold of the powerful Clan Gordon in the 14th century, marking its significance in Scottish history. The castle was extensively rebuilt and expanded in the 15th and 16th centuries, transforming it into a luxurious residence adorned with intricate stone carvings and heraldic emblems.
