Taymouth Castle

Taymouth Castle, situated in the picturesque landscape near Kenmore, Scotland, traces its origins to the 16th century when the Campbell family, later the Earls of Breadalbane, established their seat here. The current structure was commissioned by John Campbell, the 4th Earl of Breadalbane, in the early 19th century, transforming the original castle into a magnificent neo-Gothic masterpiece designed by renowned architects such as James and Robert Adam. The castle's opulent interiors, including the grand staircase and lavish rooms, reflect the wealth and influence of the Breadalbane family. Taymouth Castle played host to Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1842, marking a notable event in its storied history. Over the years, the castle saw various uses, including a stint as a hotel and a golf course.
